Travelling to Växjö
Växjö has good and frequent connections to the major cities in Sweden but also direct connections with, e.g., Copenhagen.
When travelling to Växjö from outside Sweden, we recommend flying to Copenhagen in Denmark rather than flying to Stockholm-Arlanda in Sweden.
The train trip from Copenhagen to Växjö takes about 2,5 hours and you can travel with a direct train connection from Copenhagen Airport into Växjö Central station. When you fly to Stockholm-Arlanda, you would have to travel to Stockholm Central station by airport train (30 min. approx.) or by airport bus (45 min approx.) and then take the train to Växjö via Alvesta (3,5 hours approx.).
A few airlines (e.g. ryanair, fly smaland, skyways) offer direct flights to Växjö airport/Smaland airport) also from international airports (Düsseldorf-Weeze, Berlin and others), but not on a daily basis. Flysmaland does not fly to Stockholm Arlanda but to Stockholm Bromma airport from Växjö. Success with your booking.
