The purpose of the course is to give the students knowledge about the host country Sweden through studies of its political, social and economic system.
Prerequisites
Students need to have successfully completed one semester (30 ECTS or equivalent) of German studies.

This course examines depictions of different aspects of cultural life in Sweden through literature from the 20th century. Students will read Swedish novels in German translation.
Die Vorlesungen und Seminare werden sich mit verschiedenen Aspekten des kulturellen Lebens im Schweden des 20. Jahrhunderts beschäftigen. Es werden dazu schwedische Romane in deutscher Übersetzung gelesen.

TYC163 - German Literature

Language of instruction: German
The course deepens the students’ knowledge of German fiction and non-fiction, giving insight into the history of German-language literature. The students will read and discuss German classical literature from the 18th century to the 20th century.
Prerequisites
Students need to have successfully completed two semesters (60 ECTS or equivalent) of German language studies.
